Pistachio Cake Recipe

This is a cake that I love and make often. It is quite fabulous and moist! 


1 x 3.4 ounce packet instant pistachio pudding mix
1 x 18.25 ounce packet yellow cake mix
11/2 cups water
4 eggs
½ tsp almond extract
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp liquid green food coloring


·         Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F or 175oC. Prepare a 10 inch pan, grease and flour.
·         Take a medium or large bowl and mix together the cake mix and pistachio pudding mix together. Add the eggs, oil, water, almond extra and the food coloring. Blend the ingredients, and then beat at high speed for two minutes using an electric mixer.
·         Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the cake springs back once pressed lightly. Leave to cool in pan for about 15 minutes. Remove and place on a wire rack to cool completely. You can use butter cheese frosting for decorating the cake.
